K 780
DESCRIPTION
Compact piston seal K 780 was designed as robust seal for application with closed grooves in one-part pistons, but it can be used for split pistons as well. This double-acting seal use a rubber sealing profile which showed excellent wear resistance during the tests. The seal can operate very efficiently in wide range of medium-duty applications. The seal consists of one NBR multi-lip sealing ring, two split back-up rings, two profile rings and two split guiding L-rings.
Advantages of material and shape combination are following:
- very good lifetime
- one-part piston construction is possible
- low friction and very good dynamic tightness at low pressure
- very good resistance against the extrusion due to special shape of back-up rings at high pressure
ASSEMBLY
Please, assemble in following order:
first assemble the rubber ring, then put the back-up rings and finally mount the guiding rings.
MEDIA
This seal is suitable for liquids based on mineral oil in range from -40°C to +100°C. For HFA liquids only to +60°C. Resistance in other media is subject to request.
