STV - for gases

Static mixers STV - for gases

The individual mixing elements in the STV mixer are made of corrugated sheets that are arranged in such a way that the corrugated channels intersect each other. The determination of the wave height and the length of the mixing element depends on the application. Due to the design, there is a wide range of materials to choose from.

Advantages of STV - for gases

  • Efficient mixing
  • Energy efficiency
  • Flexibility
  • Safety standards

✅ Typical applications: gas mixing in beverages, gas sterilization, gas mixing for manufacturing, inhalers and medical gases

Division of STV

STV for gas mixing

The STV type mixer is the ideal solution for homogenizing gas streams. In case of density or temperature differences, the STV prevents layered flow and ensures a stable mixture over very short mixing distances with little pressure loss.

STV for insoluble liquids

The in-line dispersion process involves the combination of insoluble liquids. The use of an STV mixer produces a homogeneous distribution of droplets. The required length of the STV mixer plays a particularly important role here as it affects the contact time of the media.

STV for gas/liquid applications

The shear forces generated in the STV mixing element ensure a very fine bubble distribution of the dosed gases. The generated turbulence ensures optimum mixing of the media. All applications require careful design of the static mixer: this is done in consultation with the customer and always individually for the specific application, as the range of configuration options is almost unlimited.

Individual system designs are determined by the requirements of the process environment and the wishes of our customers. For material, all types of stainless steel and normal steel are available, with plastics such as PVC, PE-HD, PP or PVDF, also coated with GRP. The housings can also be made of glass tubes or PTFE coated tubes.
