System with pulse dosing of oil

Characteristics:

These systems are designed for lubrication of bearings by the oil-air mixture. The air serves as a transport medium for oil drops and also as a cooling medium to dissipate the technological heat from the bearing space, eventually to create a slight overpressure in the bearing space to prevent the bearings from the dust penetration.

Description:

The oil part of the system is created by a single-stroke pneumatic piston pump Centro-Matic (a), which is connected by the delivery pipe with dosing devices in-built in the mixing units (b). The pump has its own oil tank, event. is connected to the bigger external tank. The air part is created by air unit (c) with closing valve, from which the air flows to the mixing unit. The second air unit serves to control of the single-stroke pump. The units OV-SL 43 consist of 1 to 4 sections to connect 1 - 4 lubricated places. Each section is equipped by one dosing device Centro-Matic SL 43, which enables the setting of the dose of oil in range 0,016 - 0,131 cm3 for one cycle.

Function:

Oil part works in cycles – similar as it is described in the chapter Centro-Matic system with single-stroke pump. The pressure oil forced by the dosing device enters into the mixing chamber of the appropriate section OV-SL 43-4. Into the mixing chamber flows through the throttle valve also the pressed air, which flows to the mixing unit through the reduction valve with filter and through the closing electromagnetic valve. The valve is during the lubrication time constantly open. The total volume of oil, which is supplied into each bearing, is set by lubrication cycles, that means by pressure, in which the appropriate valve controls the air supply to the pump Centro-Matic,  and by the unit volume set in the dosing device. The volume of air to the bearing is controlled by throttle-valves for each mixing chamber individually. The total air pressure is set in the reduction valve of the air unit, so the flow is not liable to the pressure swings in the network. Although is  the oil supply to the mixing chamber the pulsed supply, the oil-air mixture at the bearing input is fully continuous and homogenous. The mentioned ordering enables totally precise setting of flow air volume and of supplied oil for each lubricated place individually.

Standard elements for lubrication system oil-air with pulsed supply of oil:

a - Pumps

b – Mixing units

c – Air units

  • Air unit 2/2 - 1/4" (for mixing units)
  • Air unit 3/2 - 1/8" (for pump)

Additional parts of the system:

Main fields of usage:

Lubrication of rolling storage of working and support cylinders of rolling mills, grinding spindles and other devices placed on rolling bearings with high speeds, with the necessity to dissipate the heat and to displace the dust. It is possible to supply more bearings with very different consumption of oil and air by a single mixing unit.
