FEP O-rings

The encapsulated O-rings are composed of an inner elastomer ring and a seamless FEP cover that surrounds the ring. FEP O-rings are used wherever the chemical resistance of conventional elastomeric O-rings is insufficient. The required flexibility is provided by the inner elastomer ring and the chemical resistance by the FEP cover. They are mainly used in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food technology.

Main advantages:

    very good chemical resistance
    temperature range -60 °C (-20 °) to +200 °C
(depending on the material of the inner ring)
    low friction without stick-slip effect
    physiological safety
possible use in food, pharmaceutical, medical etc.

Materials:

FPM/FEP: FPM inner ring, FEP cover
    Temperature resistance -20 °C to +200 °C
VMQ/FEP: VMQ inner ring, FEP cover
    temperature resistance -60 °C to +200 °C
