Typ CS
Meets the requirements of DIN 3761.
Type CS is a single-acting seal designed for rotary shaft movements. The sealing lip is preloaded by a tension spring. It contains a dust cover against the attack of dirt from the outside. It is suitable for applications where there is a risk of dust and dirt ingress from the external environment.
Includes a metal outer casing which is used for a firm and accurate seating in the housing. It has additional sheet metal reinforcement, which increases its resistance to deformation during rough assembly. It also improves its strength for the larger sizes for which it is predominantly designed.
It requires lower tolerances for the built-in space. To ensure a high level of static tightness, it is recommended to coat the outer shell with a special coating or use an adhesive sealant.
It is most often used in heavy engineering, agricultural machinery, wind power plants or rolling mills.
Dimensions from shaft diameters of 6 mm
CUSTOM MODIFICATIONS
Non-standard dimensions or profile modifications are possible.
For these modifications, minimum custom quantities may be required.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Prior to assembly, it is recommended to coat the area between the sealing lip and dust boot with grease to increase durability.
