Piston seal PK 5


is a complete monoblock piston made of NBR rubber with a hardness of 75 ShA, with a vulcanized metal reinforcement disc.

Benefits


- Efficient complete piston solution for double acting and single acting pneumatic cylinders.
- Rounded sealing blades improve sliding properties and inhibit stick-slip effect.
- Piston centering, piston guidance and lubricant distribution are provided by the center section between the blades.
                   

Recommended technical conditions

Pressure: < 20 bar   
Speed: < 1 m/s
Temperature: -30 to +100°C
Medium: air (lubricated)

Material

NBR 75 ShA rubber/steel liner as standard.    Compound designation:    N2
For high temperature applications, FPM can be used instead of NBR.

Installation

Very easy assembly of the complete piston. We recommend to lubricate the seal with mineral grease (HZ103W) before assembly. Remove burrs and sharp edges that could damage the seal.  The cylinder tube must not have any burrs and must have the mounting taper as indicated in the dimension table.
